Kid's Combo Classes
We are so excited to announce that the recreational schedule at The Dance Spot now allows your dancer multiple opportunities to attend each class. Decide which genre your dancer is interested in, find his/her age group and select which class time works the best for you and your family. Cecily danced at CUS/TDS for 12 years and started assisting classes when she was 12 years old! She was a member of the SHHS dance company her sophomore year of high school, and served as the sophomore rep. She is a cheerleader and served as captain her sophomore year and will be the cheer captain her senior year as well!
Cecily is currently starting school at the MATC in Spanish Fork to become a medical assistant and she'll graduate high school in the spring!
Something you should know about Cecily is that she could live off of Costa Vida, Dr. Pepper, and SipN sugar cookies! And watch out cause she's a very competitive person in everything she does!
Cecily says, "I love to dance! It's truly brought me the most joy in my life and taught me how to be a better person in and outside of the studio. I love my TDS family and everything that they've given me. I'm so lucky that I get to share my passion with the people I love in the studio where I found my own passion for dance. There's nothing better than watching a small dancer gain confidence in herself as she learns new skills and makes new friends."
Sarah has been dancing for about 8 years. She trained at Lifehouse and then later went on to compete with Central Utah Stars/The Dance Spot! She was on Dance Company at Salem High School. She is currently taking dance classes at BYU.
When Sarah isn't at the studio, she is taking classes at BYU and she hopes to become a speech pathologist!
Sarah loves country music and especially Tim McGraw!
Something silly about Sarah, is that she puts syrup on her chimichangas/burritos. She promises that it's good and everyone that she's made try it has liked it! She also loves being outdoors!
Her favorite thing about dance/the studio is the feeling of freedom that comes when she dances! She loves sharing a similar passion with all her friends at the studio!
We have an automatic withdrawal program for monthly tuition payments. Click here if you are interested in enrolling in that. Payments will be taken out on the 5th of each month.
McKenzie has been dancing for 25 years. She competed with Central Utah Stars and began assisting classes when she was in 8th grade. She has been teaching at The Dance Spot for 15 years and became the owner of TDS in May 2015. She was also a high school cheerleader and a dance company member at Spanish Fork High School.
When McKenzie isn't at the studio, she is hanging out at home with her two boys, Harrison and Dak. She just recently left a job at Larsen Elementary where she was a 1st grade teacher.
She loves to read, decorate, spend time in the sunshine, and drink Diet Coke. Her husband, Adam, is a huge sports fan- she loves to watch sports/sports news/sports documentaries/etc. with him!
McKenzie's favorite thing about dance/the studio is the opportunity that it gives her to grow and change every time she's there. Whether it's as a dancer or a teacher- every day is a new chance to become better. She says, "There is nothing as rewarding as watching a dancer accomplish something new and the confidence that comes with new achievements."
Megan has almost 20 years of dance experience and she was a cheerleader all three years of high school! She has been teaching at the dance spot for 13 years and she has coached and choreographed for high school cheer squads.
When Megan isn't at the studio she works as an Orthodontic Assistant at Trapnell Orthodontics. She is also a yoga instructor- one of the best, you should take her class on Tuesday nights at 7:30 at TDS!
She loves traveling with her husband (especially to Disneyland). She also loves the Utah Jazz and baking!
Her favorite thing about dance and the studio is that we are such a close-knit bunch that sticks up for each other like a family would and dance friends are forever friends! In fact, she met her best friend at dance and their friendship is still going strong 17 years later!
